After months of stitching pieces I thought were lost,
Trying to rise, no matter the cost.
Learning again to stand alone,
An independent heart, a soul of stone.
I’m trying to be better, softer, kind,
Fighting shadows in my own mind,
But in the quiet, the truth comes bare,
No one’s really here, no one cares.
I’m tired, worn, body and soul,
Longing for warmth to make me whole.
I need someone now, someone real,
To share the weight of all I feel.
Someone to talk to, about everything, nothing,
Just a voice that makes the silence sing,
To lift this ache, to ease the night,
To make me feel, at least, alright.
